Skinny Louie is opening its first Brooklyn restaurant Friday, October 16, at 6 p.m., at 218 Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, with free cheeseburgers for the first 100 customers in line.

The giveaway is first come, first served, according to the restaurant’s publicist. The new location is a short walk from Barclays Center.

Founded in Miami in 2023, the chain serves smash burgers made with Black Angus beef, along with fries and shakes. The company says its Very Best Burger took top honors at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and New York City Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash events in 2025.

The Park Slope opening marks Skinny Louie’s first Brooklyn outpost. Its existing New York locations include NoMad, the West Village, Upper East Side, East Village and Penn District.

Skinny Louie: 218 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn. Opens Friday, October 16, at 6 p.m.
