Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley is bringing fried chicken, lobster and waffles and theatrical cocktails to Times Square this week.
The Dallas-born restaurant group will open its first New York location on Oct. 3 at 7 Times Square. The new restaurant is the latest large-format dining bet on a neighborhood powered by Broadway crowds, tourists and around-the-clock foot traffic.
Kitchen + Kocktails was founded in Dallas in 2020 by attorney and entrepreneur Kevin Kelley and has since expanded to cities including Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Miami.
The menu leans into Southern comfort food, with dishes including fried chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, catfish and lamb chops. The restaurant is also known for cocktails designed as much for spectacle as for drinking, including frozen drinks, flights and a live-flame presentation.
The company’s website lists the New York location at 7 Times Square, with hours running from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until midnight Friday, and weekend service beginning at 10 a.m.
The Times Square opening gives Kitchen + Kocktails its most visible New York address yet. Reservations for the new location are already open.
